Organizing Our EDC

It is easy to let our life get cluttered and disorganized. We get busy with life and things get cluttered and we have to take time to organize and put our stuff in its proper place. Many of us have multiple EDC items to choose from when we get ready to start our day. Whether it is knives, flashlights, pens, or whatnot. Harbor Freight has come out with a nifty little tool box that is under $20.

On the top shelf, I have my watch a few knives that I no longer carry, but the butterfly is a great fidget tool, two budget knives (the Ozark Trail Bugout clone and the other isn’t marked and I have forgotten the name), two USA made traditional folders and my Kershaw Launch 12. In the top drawer is my Rough Rider Trapper, S&W Cutting Horse with John Deere Farm scene, a Gerber Parafreame an old S&W Extreme Ops tanto, and a karambit.com folding karambit that is no longer made.

The bottom drawer are two hand made knives, a Wolf Creek Forge neck knife with the neck strap modified for handle up carry and an R.W. Fred belt knife with a 2 ⅝” blade and just under 7” overall. This knife is on its second sheath. Reed offered to make me a new sheath if I shipped him the knife, but I decided to make my own. The sewing holes aren’t quit perfect, but it adds to the charm of the knife.

On the dresser next to the tool box is a Wolf Creek Forge Kephart in a J Leather sheath. I have no idea if he is still in business. If I get a chance to go for a hike this is the knife I would most likely put on my belt. I suppose it isn’t nice to share knives that are no longer on the market, which is a shame because they had a few other models that I would have liked to pick up. If you can find any of their knives or flint and steel strikers, pick them up.

Great idea for the toolbox brother. Personally I have more tools than I need and use mine to hold all the mult tools. Nonetheless I love the idea of having it to hold any edc gear for the day. Plus it would help keep things organized. I think down the road I’ll pick up another one of HF minis to put on the entryway table. If the wife gets mad I’ll let her know it’s okay. William said so haha. Thank you for sharing.

I plan on getting the HF wooden tool chest and this will either go in the kitchen over the junk drawer or the laundry room. All of the tool in the junk drawer end up in the bottom and I have to dig for them. This would make it easy to look for a screwdriver to tighten the handle on an oven door, or grab a pair of pliers etc.
